For almost 50 years, College Board has provided comprehensive, interactive training for counselors at international secondary schools and advisers at not-for-profit educational organizations. Our institutes bring together distinguished U.S. higher education leaders and seasoned international counselors to deliver hands-on, practical learning.

Shenzhen College of International Education
This workshop has two required components:
- In-person day — October 18, 2026: A full day of hands-on sessions covering AP program advising, college readiness frameworks, and practical tools for navigating the admissions landscape, with direct access to College Board staff and peer counselors from across the region.
- Virtual training — 6 hours, self-paced: Complete the AP Counselor Credential Program's online modules within 30 days of the on-site session to receive your Certificate of Completion.
Whether you're new to international counseling or looking to sharpen your approach, this workshop is built to strengthen how you guide students through college planning conversations.
Complete both components within the 30-day window to earn a Certificate of Completion — the virtual training also earns you a standalone AP Counselor Credential from College Board on its own.
