The College Board provides professional learning opportunities for secondary school administrators, teachers, and counselors worldwide. These events are open to any education professional currently using our programs as well as those who want to learn more about what we do.
Our events also help educators enhance their school curriculum or university guidance services, develop or sustain an AP program, or use the SAT Suite of Assessments to inform instruction.
Here are short summaries of some of the professional development events we offer. We’ll include more details, such as event dates, times, and locations, when we finalize them.
Admissions and Counselor Events
International Admissions Symposium and University Fair is a two-day event that offers in-depth sessions on topics that are essential for university professionals who work on recruiting and selecting students. The university fair gives university representatives the opportunity to network with international secondary school counselors from around the world.
Summer Institutes for International Counselors are three- to five-day events for new and experienced international secondary school counselors that connect counselors with university admissions officers so they can share best practices and learn from one another.
AP workshops are multiday training events that feature sessions covering multiple subjects geared to current or aspiring AP teachers, administrators, and coordinators. Some workshops also feature sessions to assist counselors helping students plan for college or university.
AP summits and AP conferences are multiday, multidisciplinary training events for AP teachers and administrators.
AP Summer Institutes are one- to two-week intensive training events that focus on a single subject area. They’re usually geared toward AP teachers, but administrators and AP coordinators are welcome to attend.
