The scores from these tests are used by institutions worldwide to help with admission and placement.
SAT and SAT Subject Tests
The SAT is a globally recognized college admission test that lets you show colleges what you know and how well you can apply that knowledge. It tests your knowledge of reading, writing and math — subjects that are taught every day in secondary school classrooms.
SAT Subject Tests are the only U.S. admission tests that measure your knowledge and skills in particular subject areas. They’re closely linked to the secondary school curriculum and can help you distinguish yourself and demonstrate to colleges your mastery of specific subjects.
AP
AP Exams are available in secondary schools and measure your mastery of university-level course content. It lets you develop a global perspective, as well as such skills as critical thinking and problem solving. AP is recognized in the admissions process by more than 4,000 universities worldwide.
PSAT/NMSQT and PSSS
The PSAT/NMSQT and the PSSS are standardized tests that measure critical reading skills, math problem-solving and writing skills — as well as giving firsthand practice for the SAT.
